The Doctor And Acupuncturist

Dr. Daniel Javitz, B.Sc.(Hons.), D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic)

Daniel Javitz, R.Ac. (Acupuncturist)

Dr. Javitz

Dr.  Javitz, D.C., under his chiropractic designation (registered as a chiropractor in Ontario as a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontaro), is a firm believer that optimal chiropractic care must go beyond pain management and should include guidance toward a healthier lifestyle.  His philosophy of Complete Chiropractic Care combined with his investigative approach toward problem solving could provide a considerable difference in a patient regaining health in a short period of time while keeping the cost of treatment as low as reasonably possible.

Daniel Javitz, R.Ac., under his Acupuncturist designation (registered as an Acupuncturist in Ontario as a member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario), has studied both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Clinical Acupuncture during his chiropractic education years and has further achieved the distinction of a licensed Acupuncturist.  This means that he can use acupuncture as a stand alone therapy for insurance claim recognition in case a patient has such coverage.  Dr. Javitz, D.C., under his chiropractic designation, may also decide to provide acupuncture therapy as a combination treatment within his chiropractic toolbox to be used with other physiotherapeutic style therapies to best expedite a recovery process or just provide some comfortable relief to tense muscles and stiff joints.

By combining his knowledge of sports injuries, biomechanics, anatomy, muscle release therapy, general injury mechanics, and exercise therapy, Dr. Javitz provides his patients with Complete Chiropractic and/or Acupuncture Care, incorporating health education, exercise guidance and maintenance care.  With his toolbox of services he can help people of all ages return to their active healthy lifestyles.

This holistic approach to Chiropractic Care aims to find the source of a patient’s problem, provide solutions, and help the patients reach wellness by optimizing spinal, muscle and neural functioning.

Improving your quality of life, day after day.

Please read this personal background letter from Dr. Daniel Javitz to his current and future patients

Hello everyone,

Thank you for visiting my clinic website and for taking the time to read this. For the interested readers, I wanted to connect with you by giving a little background information about myself and my professional experience in case any of my current or future patients may be confused with the variety of chiropractic styles of care or philosophies seen in this city.  Every chiropractor’s philosophy is based on his knowledge or interest and how he or she decides to combine that knowledge or interest into his or her style of practice.  All chiropractors follow the scope of practice of chiropractic which is defined in section 3 of the Chiropractic Act, 1991 as follows: “The practice of chiropractic is the assessment of conditions related to the spine, nervous system and joints and the diagnosis, prevention and treatment, primarily by adjustment, of:
• dysfunctions or disorders arising from the structures or functions of the spine and the effects of those dysfunctions or disorders on the nervous system; and
• dysfunctions or disorders arising from the structures or functions of the joints.”

In regards to myself, I have over 20 years of a solid connection to the health field and that is part of my style of practice and treatment protocols. My knowledge and interest includes a passion for the fitness industry and I have been a licensed personal fitness trainer specialist for over twenty years with a focus on body building/sculpting, nutritional guidance, and goal setting.  Both through gyms and my old in home private training business, I have worked as a trainer and fitness consultant prior to, and since becoming a doctor of Chiropractic and Acupuncturist.  Wanting to give back more to my fitness training clients and wanting to help people progress from a state of decreased function to achieving optimal health is what drove me to become a chiropractor.  Increasing the options in my treatment toolbox to better help my patients was the motivator to push my acupuncture qualification to achieve the additional designation of Acupuncturist.

My chiropractic work history includes being integral in the creation and launch of three different types of clinics (Motor Vehicle Accident, Chiropractic in a multi-disciplinary, and Chiropractic in a solo office) with responsibility for making sure that patient care was excellent and that the proper paperwork and treatment-tracking methods were in place. Additionally, I have also helped guide the addition of a chiropractic component to some family based health clinics in a neighboring cities.  My skills include chiropractic (diversified and Thompson Technique), Acupuncture (Plain clean needle and/or with electrical stimulation), Trigenics® (a premium form of muscle therapy), Personal Fitness Training, Various Muscle Release Therapies, and knowledge in the use of physiotherapeutic modalities.

Through my current and past positions as chiropractor, acupuncture provider, clinic owner, contract service provider, and semi-director of clinical operations; I have demonstrated a tremendous ability to support and help maintain numerous operational business objectives as well as help my patients not only resolve their discomfort, but also help them reach a higher level of physical and mental health.  I work diligently to provide excellence in all my professional endeavors and have earned a reputation for my integrity, initiative, skillful work ethic, and patient satisfaction.

I combined my home practice with this main office to centralize my patient base and services offered.  I have equipment in the clinic that when combined with my skill set, allows me to treat a great variety of conditions and allows me to really show that I care about optimal and complete patient care.

I look forward to getting to know you, help you get better, and guide you to stay better!

Best Regards,

Dr. Daniel Javitz, B.Sc.(Hons.), D.C. [Daniel Javitz, R.Ac.]
